Boxing is a fun and effective way to increase your fitness levels, aid weight loss and maybe even hone those boxing skills of yours! Non-contact Boxing (i.e. punching equipment rather than a face!) is one of the best ways to lose weight. If you’re new to boxing, then you are in for a treat. I incorporate boxing into all of my programmes because not only is it an awesome way to get fitter and stronger, it is always a hit (no pun intended) with my clients too.
Running and Jogging
Running and jogging can be an effective way to get your circulation moving and your heart rate pumping. Running/jogging - both have a wealth of health benefits, including weight loss, improved cardiovascular health, improved respiratory health, increased stamina etc. the list goes on! But before you think I am going to just pop you on a treadmill and leave you to it, think again. While my clients and I love the fancy curved non-electric treadmill in the studio I can’t imagine anything more dull that spending half a session on it. Instead I have clients jogging and running intermittently between weights, boxings and other exercises so they get the benefits without the boredom!
Free Weights and Machines
I have all the latest, state of the art equipment in my modern private gym. I have every dumbbell and plate you'll ever need to get in shape or bulk up depending on what you want to achieve. I know for most of my clients equipment is the last thing they care about, but if you’re like me and a bit of a gym fanatic then you won’t be disappointed. Throughout the sessions, you will use a range of free weights and the variety of machines means your training will always be interesting and diverse.
Core and Body Weight Exercises
These include things like ab workouts, push ups and pull ups etc. Most people avoid abs as they are tough or don't see the benefit but in fact, abs help your posture. Pushups are great for targetting your chest and back whereas pull-ups are great for targetting your biceps. That being said, both of these exercises depend on where and how you use your arms - e.g. wide grip pull ups focus on your lats whereas close grip pull ups do biceps etc.
HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training)
HIIT training also known as HIIE (High-Intensity Intermittent Exercise) and even SIT (Sprint Interval Training) is a great way to lose weight quickly while increasing your fitness and strength. My clients love HIIT and get such incredible results from these short intense sessions that I now offer these as part of all my programmes. So whether you sign up for the Slim Tone Method, Power Muscle Method or White Method VIP you’ll have the option to come along to our regular HIIT sessions.
